Venice is built on an archipelago of 118 islands formed by 150 canals and connected by 400 bridges. Whether I travel by boat or foot, I am always struck by the idea that Venice is so beautiful because of its many layers. Layers so exotic and rich capturing Western European, Byzantine, and Islamic influences through the ages. Just like Venice, intriguing interiors are made by living.
